    Hi my name is christopher welch I would like to make sure I am still in good standings for future employment. Was past employee last september had medical issues. gave manager dan at geneva ny store documentation. I was having problems standing for long periods of time due to bulged and herniated discs. I could not work until roughly 3-4 months\ after going thru painful 4 pain shots and physical therapy to help my back. Now I am back pain free. I really would like to apply for commercial job in auburn ny. I was commercial manager in geneva ny for roughly 3 months before I started having back problems.     Why is it that when you use a credit card ,the transaction is almost instantly on your account, yet when you return a core or a wrong part it takes forever to credit the account .

      This is pretty much how it works:


      The customer buys something. The merchant’s bank checks with the customer’s bank to make sure the customer has funds in their account, and the customer’s bank puts a hold on the account in the amount- this hold is called the authorization. This is what makes it appear as if the charge hits your card right away
      The merchant’s bank has to settle the transaction. This costs money, so it’s usually done in batches by the payment processor. They settle at least once a day.
      The settlement takes up to 72 hours to process. Once the funds are sent from the customer’s bank to the merchant’s bank, the settlement appears on the customer’s account, the funds are withdrawn, and the authorization is cancelled.
      The merchant’s bank updates the merchant’s account to show that the funds have been received. This can take up to 24 hours.
      It’s been 1-5 days, and everyone has their money now. The transaction is complete.

      For a refund, the process is the same, but done in reverse:

      The customer requests a refund. The merchant’s bank requests a refund transaction from the bank. The bank checks with the merchant’s bank to make sure they have the funds, and puts a hold on the amount.
      The customer’s bank has to settle the transaction. This costs money, so it’s usually done in batches by the payment processor. They settle at least once a day.

      There isn’t one. A store manager may be able to print out your warranties for you though, and if they can’t you can always contact the regional office whose number is at the front of every store and changes by region.

    I am a 50 year old woman whose in the shape of a normal 50 year old woman. And this past Monday I rode my bike 2 miles to the local Auto Zone to have my battery charged. The clerk on duty checked my battery and told me it was unsalvageable. So on Wendsday I rode my bike battery in my basket ,2 miles to store I purchased. It at I was told it was not unsalvageable only needed to be charged. In total I rode my bike 4 miles. In the Arizona sun. 2 miles more than necessary if the Auto Zone clerk had been honest and just charged my battery instead of lying so he could sell a battery. My battery still needs to be charged.     Because all the millions of $$$ of refunds go into a holding account in a Swiss bank account for 10 to 15 days
    to collect interest while there, and then it goes out to you.

    It’s like a bucket with a hole in the bottom that is always full.
    They collect tons of money that way on your refund and give you nothing but poor service in return.
